We are delighted to announce that Student Hubs will be hosting the 2023 National Societies and Volunteering Awards (NSVAs), in partnership with our friends at Organised Fun.
What are the NSVAs?
Since 2020 the National Societies and Volunteering Awards have been hosted by Organised Fun, recognising the contribution of students who go above and beyond within their university and local communities. A team of judges review nominations from institutions across the country!
Last year the awards were run in partnership with Sheffield Students’ Union and the in person event saw 304 students nominated for 8 awards. Awards won included the Collaboration Award for excellent team work, the Committee Excellence Award for student leaders and the Wellbeing Award for a commitment to supporting student wellbeing.
What are the plans for the NSVAs 2023?
We will be hosting the awards from communications to nominations management to the night itself. We’re hoping to run an in person awards in summer 2023, celebrating our winners and all of the amazing volunteers and societies who have been nominated.
You can expect to hear more from us in Student Volunteering Week, when we will launch nominations. We will also be reaching out to potential judges and sponsors later this term. We can’t wait to hear more about the amazing work students have been up to this year.
How can you get involved?
If you are a student, a society, a volunteering group, or a Students’ Union, we recommend signing up to our mailing list to be the first to be notified when nominations open later in this academic year: http://eepurl.com/ibv4Q5
