This week we’ve said hello to a familiar face, Fiona Walsh has rejoined the Student Hubs team as our Sales Director. In this role, she’ll be leading the growth of Student Hubs by developing our partnerships with UK universities and relationships within the higher education sector. We’re really excited about expanding our work with students and exploring more ways of getting young people involved in social action, and also to have such a passionate and motivated person as Fiona on board.
Fiona has spent the past decade working with young people in the education and charity sector, including delivering outreach in schools, managing volunteering programmes and teaching Karate. Previously, she worked for Student Hubs as Southampton Hub Manager, and most recently for the charity The Girls’ Network, connecting 14-16 year old girls in Portsmouth with professional women for a year of 1:1 mentoring.
Fiona said, “I’m thrilled to be rejoining the team at Student Hubs and excited to be leading on their work in sales to connect more students across the UK with our social action volunteering programmes. We recognise that circumstances are challenging for students and university partners right now, so it’s incredibly important that Student Hubs continue to provide opportunities for them and support students to create impact in their local communities across the UK.”
