Engage For Change
Cambridge Hub’s first Engage for Change cohort has restarted this month. All student participants are developing their ideas for their projects and are continuing their placements. Some of the ideas from the students in this cohort include the creation of a ‘Women in Sustainability’ network at Cambridge, Campaign to ban Fossil Fuel finance of research at the University of Cambridge and Investigating the effects of light pollution on wildlife behaviour within college grounds. We are super excited to see how they develop their projects this term.
Leeds Conservatoire
We’re excited to be working in partnership with Leeds Conservatoire again through a project which will see us deliver research focused on what students want from volunteering and local opportunities, the delivery of a Charity Challenge, and connecting with local organisations in Leeds about how they can work with Leeds Conservatoire students. Our new Programme Manager, Sarah Baaghil, will be joining us next week to kickstart our work in Leeds. You can see more about our previous project with Leeds Conservatoire and Graduate Intern Iona here(pictured below).
In the Spotlight
This month, I would like to put our new starter Jenny Perratt on the spotlight. Jenny has recently joined our Cambridge Hub as the Engage for Change Programmes Manager. She will be leading on the delivery and recruitment for the programme and we are super excited to have her continuing the work of Engage of Change.
